BASF launches Maglis, a new online platform to help farmers improve crop management

Limburgerhof, Germany – March 3, 2016 – Today, BASF has launched MaglisTM, an online agricultural platform set to become a key partner in helping farmers manage their crops. With the platform, farmers will be able to gather, interpret, and monitor a range of crop-related data that will support them in making better decisions on how to grow and market their crops. The launch took place at the Commodity Classic agricultural convention and trade show, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

BASF and commodity associations present agriculture scholarships for 10th consecutive year

Living Acres research finds best practices for establishing milkweed on-farm

NEW ORLEANS, March 2, 2016 -- BASF today announced first-year findings from Living Acres, a biodiversity research initiative focused on helping increase the iconic monarch butterfly population through establishing milkweed in non-crop areas. The research, conducted on the BASF Research Farm in Holly Springs, North Carolina, provides best practices for establishing and maintaining the plants in non-production areas.

BASF Crop Protection pipeline valued at €3 billion

Limburgerhof, Germany – February 26, 2016 – BASF now projects its crop protection pipeline to achieve peak sales of €3 billion for products launched between 2015 and 2025. Following its strategy to bring comprehensive solutions to farmers, the company will launch new products for all crop protection indications in row and specialty crops. This promising pipeline is the result of continuous investments in research and development. In 2015 alone, BASF spent €514 million on R&D in the Crop Protection division.
